David Weddell – Managing Director
The inspiration and founding partner behind KGB Facility Services Ltd formed in 2012. David has some 20+ years' experience within the FM industry gained in senior management roles across a variety of environments to include the public and private sectors. He has mobilised and managed numerous prestigious single and multi-site accounts to include customers in retail, Exhibition Centres, B2B environments to include multi and single site, visitor attractions, central Government, manufacturing and professional services. This has included both cleaning and integrated soft FM services. In addition David has a sound knowledge of M&E, Catering and Landscaping acquired in his position as Managing Director for a business unit comprising these service lines.
Educated at Mill Hill Public School, he has completed a number of relevant training courses within the cleaning & FM arena and holds an Executive MBA gained at the SIMI Institute in Copenhagen. David has a particular aptitude towards staff development as well as customer relationship building, which is a positive asset in the implementation of enhanced management controls, real innovation and quality of delivery.
With his wealth of experience and undeniable commitment to customer delight, David will present as both the strategic and operational lead of existing and new contractual arrangements as they evolve.
Deborah Finney – Director
With a foundation in Hotel & Catering Management initially undertook roles within the hospitality industry before moving to the NHS to manage Domestic Services and Portering. This led to a move to the private sector as a result of the trend toward the outsourcing of Facility Services. Since then Deborah has gained extensive experience both operationally and in business development across a broad range of environments both in the UK and across Europe to include commercial, blue chip corporate, retail & shopping centres, public buildings, central government, exhibition centres, airports and schools/colleges.
At KGB Facility Services, Deborah is integral to the creation of operational solutions for both potential and existing customers. The start-up of new service contracts as well as retaining an interface with on-going undertakings, providing an invaluable input into continuous improvement initiatives.
Additionally Deborah is leading the business in terms of its CSR efforts, investment in effective learning programmes and that of sector wide accreditation with regard to environmental sustainability.
Ken Catmull – Health, Safety & Environment Manager
Ken offers demonstrable experience within the Health & Safety arena having worked with Eurotunnel as the UK Terminal Safety Officer, from here he moved to the Central London Training and Enterprise Council (now FOCUS Central London) as Safety Officer. In 1998 he was engaged as the Safety and Security Adviser for Alcatel Submarine Networks, responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, and Security and Environmental management. In 2000 he formed Ken Catmull Associates working as Health, Safety and Security Adviser to a number of major companies to include KGB for whom he has now worked for some 9 years.
Ken's qualifications and recognised industry accolades/memberships are as follows clearly illustrating the level of competence that is afforded to our clients and staff alike; Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, Listed on Occupational Safety and Health Consultant Register, Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) NVQ 4, LFB Fire Risk Assessor, DDA Accessibility Auditor, NVQ Level 4 Occupational Safety and Health, British Safety Council - Diploma in Safety Management, National Examining Board Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, National Examining Board Diploma in Supervisory Management, RoSPA - Quality Safety Audit – Distinction, Training Course Development and Environmental Management Programme.
Ken is instrumental in setting up and reviewing over time site based HSE procedures at each of our contract sites to include the construction of method statements and risk assessments for all routine, periodic and specialist works in scope together with mandatory instruction and training.
Alan Massenhove – HR Advisor & Commercial Associate
Alan is a solicitor specialising in corporate, commercial and employment law with over 20 years of experience providing legal services to the businesses sector. He is a senior member of SYKES ANDERSON LLP (www.sykesanderson.com), a long established and well respected City based legal practice.
Alan has a wide range of expertise and experience in most business related legal work, and in particular contract negotiation and drafting, service provision changes, share and business sales and purchases, TUPE transfers, collective redundancies, contentious and non-contentious general employment matters including redundancy situations, discrimination and equal pay, and corporate and commercial disputes, arbitration and litigation.
Over the past 10 years Alan has worked closely with key members of the management team at KGB Facility Services on numerous and various matters, including in connection with tenders (often involving important and substantial contracts), TUPE transfers, collective redundancies, equal pay cases and a wide range of other commercial and employment related matters. Alan, David and Deborah have also worked together as a team during various dealings with Trade Unions and other employee representatives, all of which have been successfully concluded through brokered agreement.
